The Kandahar Condominiums, locaed in the heart of Taos Ski Valley, have provided comfort and unparalleled conveniences to Tao skiers for decades and now.  since March 19th, 2008, offer these same accommodations to Taos snow boarders.  Our family friendly condominiums overlook Strwawberry Hill, the resort's beginner hill, and are just a few feet from the Ernie Blake Ski & Ride School.  meeting place.  Families staying at The Kandahar can enjoy watching their children on skis or snowboards for the very first time from the comfort of their condominium balconies.  Our guests ski down to the lifts each morning and at day's end ski back to their condos. 

There is something for everyone in the family at Taos Ski Valley. Although  Taos Ski Valley is well known for it's expert ski trails, justy under half of the ski trails are beginner and intermediate.  Taos Ski Valley Village  rental shops offer snow shoes as well as ski and snowboarding equipment for those who want to explore the Winter landscape at a more relaxed pace.  Taos Ski Valley Village offers shops, restaurants and live entertainment.   

 Even when the runs have closed, and the snow has melted, Taos Ski Valley is here to explore and enjoy.  The off season features dramatically reduced lodging rates in the cool, sun filled Sangre de Christo mountains.  Restaurants and shops are open during the off season and the Ski Valley offers chairlift rides up Al's Run.  

Located only 18 miles from Taos Ski Valley, the historic town of Taos offers nearly100 art galleries, many of which feature local artists. There are museums, shops, restaurants, and a variety of entertainment throughout the year. Kit Carson Park hosts Arts & Crafts Fairs,  Vintage Automobile Shows, and The Solar Music Festival during Spring, Summer and Fall.  The Taos Plaza offers free live music every Thursday throughout the Summer and the Taos Center for the Arts (TCA) brings in world class performers from around the globe.  There are also guest speakers and independent .  A trip to Taos is never complete without a visit to the ancient Taos Pueblo, where tour guides offer a unique cultural perspective exists where often it is not in our public school text books.
