Daily Loging Rate Policies

RESERVATIONS & CONFIRMATION POLICIES At the time of reservation the Kandahar requires a non-refundable credit card deposit (American Express, Discover, Master Card or VISA) of one night's rent per unit rented. Within 10 days you will receive a confirmation via mail or e-mail. Please be sure to check that your arrival and departure dates are correct. FINAL PAYMENT Final payment must be received thirty days prior to your confirmed arrival date. Payment may be made via credit card, traveler's check or money order. Please do not send cash in the mail. DAMAGE DEPOSIT Upon arrival the Kandahar requires a $500.00 refundable damage deposit to be held for each unit rented until a post departure inspection has been conducted. We will notify you of any damages to the unit. If the unit interior and its contents remain undamaged, we will either shred or return the deposit slip to you via mail. The primary on the rental agreement is responsible for any damages incurred. The Kandahar is a non-smoking facility and does not allow pets. CANCELLATIONS You may cancel your reservation at any time. Refunds will be given for nights that can be re-rented. A 25% handling fee will be applied to all refunds. No refunds will be given for late arrivals or early departures. We recommend travelers insurance through your travel agent to cover cancellation fees and loss of deposits. CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT During ski season the front desk and shuttle service is staffed from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. Check-in starts at 3:00 pm and Check-out is 10:00 am. The office is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Off-Season hours may vary. For late arrivals with 24 hour notice, we will pre-open you room with directions provided. Since we do not have staff available after 10:00 pm, we strongly suggest later groups consider delaying their arrival until the following morning. In optimum conditions it takes about 3 hours to drive from the Albuquerque Sunport Airport to Taos Ski Valley. Please do not ask for an extended check-out time as it takes this amount of time to properly clean an entire condominium for the next guests. If you would like to stay and ski for the day, you are welcome to leave your vehicle and change in our spa before leaving. PETS The Kandahar does not allow pets. However, the Alpine Village Suites (www.alpine-suites.com) will take pets for $20.00 per night. The Columbine Inn (www.columbineinntaos.com) does not allow pets during ski season, but will allow dogs in the off-season.
